Viewing Plans

The Plans page gives you a clear view of all the service plans you are assigned to. It shows what needs your reply, what is coming up, and what you have served, and lets you open any plan for the details.

Before You Begin

  • You must be logged in to your B1.church account.
  • You must be assigned to at least one service plan. If you do not see any plans, contact your church administrator or ministry leader.

Accessing Your Plans

  1. Tap Plans in the tab bar, on the More page, or tap All plans in the You're serving section on Home.
  2. You will see the plans you are scheduled on.

The Plans Page

The top of the page shows how many of your upcoming assignments are confirmed and how many still need a reply, plus a Sign up to serve button that opens the volunteer signup page. Below that, the page is organized into sections:

  • Needs your reply -- Assignments you have not answered yet, each with Accept and Decline buttons so you can respond without opening the plan. Tapping Decline asks you to confirm first. Only shown when something is waiting on you.
  • Upcoming -- Your next three assignments. Tap All upcoming to see the rest.
  • Blockout dates -- Dates when you are unavailable for serving. Tap Add dates, choose a Start date and End date, and tap Save. Tap Remove next to a blockout to delete it. Your team leaders see these dates so they can schedule around you.
  • Past -- How many times you have served this year and when you last served. Tap Past assignments to see the full list, which you can filter by year.

Each assignment shows the service date, the plan name, your position, and a status badge -- Accepted, Confirmed, Declined, Pending Response, or Needs reply if you have not responded yet.

معلومة

Your church may send reminders before the services you are scheduled for, by email and as an app notification. If your church sends texts, you can also get them by text by turning on Text messages in your Notification Preferences. If you have not responded yet, you can Accept or Decline right from the reminder email — no sign-in needed.

Viewing Plan Details

Tap any plan to open it. The plan page shows the plan name and service date at the top, followed by these sections:

  • Your assignment -- Each position you are assigned on this plan, with its team, your status, and the Service Times you are needed. If you have not yet responded, tap Accept or Decline right here. Decline asks you to confirm first.
  • Service Order -- The first few items of the service, with a count of how many there are. Tap Full service order to see everything. See Service Order for more details.
  • Serving Teams -- Who is serving alongside you and in which positions, with a count of people and teams. Tap All teams to see every team and its members.
  • Plan Notes -- Any notes the plan creator added for the team.
  • Downloads -- Files attached to the plan's lesson content, if any.

Tap Back to plan name at the top of the full service order or team list to return to the plan.

Declining an Accepted Assignment

If something comes up after you have accepted, you can still back out from the plan page:

  1. Open the plan and find your position under Your assignment. It shows an Accepted badge.
  2. Tap the red Decline link under the position.
  3. A confirmation asks Decline this assignment? -- "Your team leaders will be notified that you can no longer serve in this position."
  4. Tap Decline to confirm, or Cancel to keep the assignment.

Your status changes to Declined. The same confirmation appears whenever you tap Decline -- on the plan page, in Needs your reply on the Plans page, or in You're serving on Home -- so a mis-tap never declines an assignment.

Accepting a Declined Assignment

Changed your mind after declining? Open the plan; under your position, which shows a Declined badge, tap Accept. Your status changes back to Accepted.

The Decline and Accept links are only available until your service time is over -- after that, your assignment can no longer be changed from the plan page.

If you never responded to an assignment and its service time has passed, the plan page shows a Response closed badge instead of Accept and Decline, with the note "This serving time has passed, so you can no longer respond."

If you have multiple assignments across different plans, the list is sorted by date so your upcoming commitments appear first. Check back regularly to stay on top of your schedule.

Teacher View for Lessons

If your plan includes associated curriculum from a content provider (such as Lessons.church), the Service Order section shows the lesson's sections for a quick review, and a Teach button appears at the top of the plan page.

Click Teach to open an immersive, full-screen lesson presentation designed for teachers, with formatted instructions, embedded media, notes, and step-by-step guidance. Close it to return to the plan.

The Teach view organizes lesson content into sections. You can:

  • Tap Sections at the top to see the list of sections and jump directly to any part of the lesson
  • Scroll through the lesson content -- the heading shows which section you are in (for example, "Section 2 of 5")
  • Click on media items (videos, images, activities) to view them in a modal dialog; audio links (song recordings, sermon clips) play inline with a built-in audio player
  • See action types formatted distinctively: Say appears in conversation bubbles, Do in bold text, and Note in highlighted callouts

The Teach view is especially helpful when leading a classroom or small group, as it presents all your lesson content in a clean, distraction-free format optimized for mobile and tablet use.
