Group Details
When you click on a group from the groups page, you are taken to the group detail page. What you see on this page depends on whether you are logged in or not.
Visitor View (Not Logged In)
If you are not logged in, you will see the following:
- Hero section -- A large banner area showing the group's photo, name, meeting time, and meeting location.
- Description -- The full description of the group explaining its purpose and what to expect.
- Leaders -- Avatars and names of the group's leaders. You can click a leader's name to view their profile.
- Calendar events -- Up to three upcoming events for the group are displayed, each showing the date and event title. If the group has no upcoming events, this section is hidden.
- Contact form -- A form that lets you send a message directly to the group's leaders. Fill in your first name, last name, email, phone number, and message, then click Submit. If there are multiple leaders, you can choose which one to contact from a dropdown.
Member View (Logged In)
When you are logged in, the group detail page shows the hero section along with a sidebar of tabs. The available tabs are:
- Group Details -- The group's full description, rendered with rich text formatting.
- Members -- A list of all members in the group, showing their photo and name. You can click a member's name to visit their profile.
- Calendar -- The group's calendar showing meetings and events. You can browse upcoming and past events.
- Conversations -- A space for group members to post messages and interact with each other. See Group Conversations for more details.
- Resources -- Shared files and links that have been posted for the group. You can download uploaded files or open linked resources.
- Attendance -- Visible to group leaders only. Allows tracking of who attended group meetings.
Leader Capabilities
If you are a leader of the group, you have additional editing capabilities:
- Edit group details -- Update the group's name, description, meeting time, and other settings directly from the Details tab.
- Manage members -- Add new members to the group or remove existing ones from the Members tab.
- Manage resources -- Upload files (up to 100 MB of storage), add links, or delete existing resources.
- Leader resources -- Access a separate Resources (Leaders) tab with files and links visible only to group leaders.
- Track attendance -- Record attendance for group sessions from the Attendance tab.
