Content Providers

Content providers are external services that supply lesson materials, videos, and images for playback on your TV. FreePlay supports multiple providers, letting you browse and download content from different sources all in one app.

Available Providers

FreePlay currently includes the following providers:

  • Lessons.church - Free, open-source children's ministry curriculum
  • Bible Project - Videos and resources exploring the Bible
  • SignPresenter - Presentation and signage content for churches
  • B1.church - Content from your own B1 church setup
  • Go Curriculum - Curriculum from gocurriculum.com, organized by collection and lesson
  • Dropbox - Browse and play images and videos from your own Dropbox
  • Jesus Film Project - Films and video clips from the Jesus Film Project
  • OneDrive - Browse and play images, videos, and audio from your own Microsoft OneDrive

Google Drive and FreeShow are no longer shown in the FreePlay TV app. To use Google Drive content on your TVs, connect it in FreePlay Admin, add the files to a playlist, and schedule that playlist.

Some providers are still being added. If a provider card shows "Coming Soon," it is not yet available for connection.

How Providers Work

Each provider has its own content library organized into folders and files. Once you connect to a provider, its content appears in a folder browser where you can drill into categories, select items, and download them for playback.

Connected providers appear in the sidebar on the left side of the screen, under the Browse heading. You can switch between providers by selecting them in the sidebar, making it easy to jump between content sources during setup.

You can also pick a folder from any connected provider to loop as announcements on your TV.

Providers you connect on the TV are only for that TV. If you use Scheduled Mode, connect providers once in FreePlay Admin instead, and every scheduled screen can play content from them.
