WorshipCommons Service Plans

A service plan on WorshipCommons is a set list for Sunday. Put songs in order, choose the key, capo, and sections for each one, then share a single link with your band. From the plan you can open a stage view for a music stand, print a booklet, or export the whole set to your presentation software.

info

Service plans are saved in your web browser, not in your account, and you don't need to sign in to use them. A share link carries the whole set, so save the link if you switch devices. If your church plans services in B1 Admin, see Plans instead.

Creating a Service Plan

  1. Click Service plans in the top menu.
  2. Type a name, such as "Sunday 14 Sept" or "Youth night", and click Create service plan.

You can also start a plan from any song. On the song page, click + Add to service plan, type a name under the list, and click Create.

Adding Songs

  1. Open a song's page. Set the key you want first, because the song joins the plan in the key on screen.
  2. Click + Add to service plan.
  3. Click the plan's name. A check mark shows the song is in that plan. Click it again to take it out.

The button then reads ✓ In followed by the plan's name. Click the Open link with the plan's name in the pop-up to go to the plan.

Arranging the Set

Open a plan from the Service plans page. For each song you can:

  • Reorder -- Use the ↑ and ↓ buttons, or drag the song to a new spot. Click Remove to take it out.
  • Key -- Choose from the song's Published keys or any other key (listed under Preview (any key)).
  • Capo -- Choose a capo fret. The plan shows which chord shapes to play.
  • Sections -- Set the order of verses and choruses. Use the arrows to move a section, × to drop it, and + Add section to add one (for example, a repeated chorus). Click Reset to default to go back to the song's usual order.
  • Arrangement -- Type a short note for the band, such as "Chorus ×2 at the end, last verse a cappella".

The top of the plan shows the number of songs and the approximate length of the set. Changes save automatically.

Sharing with Your Team

  1. Click Share link. The link is copied to your clipboard.
  2. Send it to your band by text or email.

Anyone who opens the link sees the plan with every key, capo, section, and note, without needing an account. They can click Save a copy to keep their own editable copy in their browser.

On the Service plans page you can also Share, Rename, Duplicate, or Delete a plan.

Using the Plan on Sunday

  • Stage mode -- Shows one chart per screen for a tablet on a music stand. Use the arrows (or the ← and → keys) to move between songs, and the text-size buttons to make the chart larger. Stage mode tries to keep the screen from going to sleep; the bar shows whether it's Keeping the screen awake.
  • Print booklet -- Prints every chart in order, one per page, with a cover listing the songs and keys. Choose Large text or Show chords, then click Print.
  • Copy for OnSong / Planning Center -- Copies every chart in your keys and sections, ready to paste.

Exporting the Set

Click FreeShow, OpenLP, ProPresenter, or PowerPoint to download the whole set for that tool, in the keys and sections you chose.

Click House-church pack to download a ZIP with each song's chart in your key, the lyrics, slides, attribution, a set list, and one LICENSE.txt file.

waarschuwing

Songs licensed CC BY-SA are left out of the house-church pack unless you check Share-alike pack (include CC BY-SA songs). If you include them, anything you make from the pack must be shared under the same license. The charts, stage mode, and booklet always include these songs.
