Settings

The Settings section is where you configure your church's account, branding, and administrative options in B1 Admin. From here you can manage everything from your church name and subdomain to user permissions and mobile app configuration.

What You Will Find Here

The Settings area is organized into the following sub-sections:

  1. Settings -- Configure your church's basic information, branding, subdomain, region (date and phone format), texting provider, and file storage. See Church Settings for details. To use your own domain name (e.g. yourchurch.org), see Custom Domain.
  2. Campuses -- Add and manage multiple physical locations for your church. Once created, campuses appear on person profiles, in attendance setup, and in the Demographics dashboard. Reached as a section on the main Settings page rather than a separate navigation item. See Campuses for details.
  3. Custom Fields -- Define your own fields to track on people (a date, number, yes/no answer, or pick-list), then fill them in on profiles and search on them. Also reached as a section on the main Settings page. See Custom Fields for details.
  4. Email Templates -- Save reusable email content for sending manually or from a workflow. See Email Templates for details.
  5. Audit Log and Batches -- Review changes made across your account (Audit Log), and review or undo bulk imports and actions (Batches).
  6. Server Admin -- Access advanced administration tools for managing your church's server-level settings.

Mobile Apps configuration and Forms now have their own top-level navigation items -- Mobile and Forms (found under People) -- rather than living inside Settings. See Mobile App Settings and Creating Forms for details.

The Main Settings Page

When you first open the Settings page, the panel on the left shows your church name, subdomain, and address, along with an Import/Export link that opens the import/export tool for transferring data between systems.

Below that, a Configuration list links to each settings section: Church Information, General, Region, Giving, Texting, File Storage, Domains, Grade Promotion, Check-In, Campuses, Custom Fields, and Developer. Sections that still need setting up (such as Giving, Texting, or Domains) are marked with a small dot. All of the sections are on one page -- click a name in the list to scroll to it, or just scroll down. Each section shows its current settings; click Edit in a section to change them.

Email Templates, Audit Log, and Batches are separate pages -- open them from the Jump menu under Settings.

Start with the Church Information section to edit your church's name, address, and contact information -- see Church Settings. To manage user roles, open the Jump menu and choose Settings > Roles -- see Roles & Permissions.
