Registering for Events

When your church enables registration for an event, you can sign up through a simple step-by-step process. You can register yourself and add family members, whether you have an account or are visiting as a guest. For paid events, you choose an attendee type, add any optional extras, apply a discount code, and pay securely at the end.

Before You Begin

  • Your church must have event registration enabled for the event
  • The registration window must be open (between the open and close dates set by the administrator)

Step 1: Enter Your Information

  1. From the church calendar, open the event you want to register for and click Register for this Event.
  2. The registration page loads showing the event title, description, and date.
  3. If you are logged in, the form shows your name and confirms you are registering under your account.
  4. If you are a guest (not logged in), fill in:
    • First Name (required)
    • Last Name (required)
    • Email (required)
    • Phone (optional)
  5. If the event has attendee types (for example, Adult and Child at different prices), choose your registration type. Each type shows its price, and types that have run out show as Sold out.

If the event has a capacity limit, a progress bar shows how many spots remain. If the event is full and your church has enabled a waitlist, you can still complete the signup to join the waitlist — see Joining a Waitlist below.

Step 2: Add Family Members

  1. If you want to register additional family members, enter their First Name and Last Name for each person.
  2. If the event has attendee types, pick a type for each person you add.
  3. Click Add Member to add more people (up to 10 total).
  4. Click the remove button next to any member to take them off the registration.
  5. If you are only registering yourself, you can skip this step.

Step 3: Choose Options & Selections (If Offered)

Some events offer optional priced add-ons — T-shirts, meals, activity upgrades.

  1. If the event has selections, an Options & Selections step appears.
  2. Use the quantity steppers to choose how many of each you want. Free options show as Free, and limited options show how many are remaining.
  3. Click Continue.

Step 4: Answer Questions (If Asked)

Some events ask registrants to answer a few extra questions -- dietary restrictions, T-shirt size, emergency contact, and similar details.

  1. If the event has questions attached, a Questions step appears next.
  2. Fill in your answers and continue.

If the event has no questions attached, this step is skipped automatically.

Step 5: Pay (Paid Events)

If your registration has a cost, the Payment step shows an Order Summary listing each attendee, each selection, any discount, and the Total.

  • Discount code -- If your church gave you a code, enter it and click Apply. The discount is reflected immediately, and you'll see a clear message if the code has expired, hasn't started yet, or requires more attendees.
  • Logged-in members can pay with a saved card or choose Use a new card.
  • Guests enter their card details directly.

Click Pay & Register to complete the payment and registration in one step. Your card details go directly to the church's payment provider and are never stored by B1.

Free registrations skip this step and go straight to confirmation.

Step 6: Confirm

A confirmation message appears with the event details and a list of everyone you registered. You will also receive a confirmation email at the email address associated with your account (or the email you provided as a guest).

Joining a Waitlist

If the event is full and your church enabled the waitlist, the first step shows: "This event is full. You can join the waitlist and we will notify you if a spot opens." Complete the signup as normal — payment is skipped while you are waitlisted. When a spot opens, you receive an email; if a payment is due, it includes a link to complete it. You can also check your status and pay from My Registrations.

Changing or Canceling a Registration

If you are logged in, you can edit or cancel your registration yourself from the Registrations page in the member portal — see My Registrations. Guests should contact the church office, and staff can make the change from the B1 Admin registrations page.
