Managing Lessons
Lessons are the individual teaching Sessioni within a study. Each lesson represents what happens during a single class meeting. This is where you build out the detailed content -- venues, sections, Ruoli, and actions -- that Volontari will use when they teach.
Prima di Iniziare
- Create a program and add a study Per it
- Have admin Permessi for Lessons.church (see the Administration overview)
Creating a Lezione
- Navigate Per the Admin area, expand the program and study, and Trova the study you want Per Aggiungi a lesson Per.
- Fai clic Aggiungi Lezione.
- Inserisci a Name and other details for the lesson.
- Salva the lesson.
Parent Take-Home
Each lesson has an Facoltativo Parent take-home section under Description. These fields are what parents see on their B1 Gruppo after class (and on the classroom parent page). They are not a second lesson description.
| Field | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Bottom line | One sentence. "God keeps His promises." |
| Verse | Memory verse reference and short text. |
| Question | One car-ride question parents can ask without a PDF. |
| Facoltativo note | Extra (prayer prompt, family activity). Markdown. Hidden when empty. |
Bottom line and one question matter more than an Panoramica. Leave all four empty if you have nothing for parents that week — nothing is shown.
Do not put parent copy in Description. Description is catalog copy for teachers browsing lessons.church.
Understanding the Lezione Structure
Each lesson is organized into several layers:
- Venues -- Different versions of the lesson for different age Gruppi or Impostazioni. For example, you might have a "Preschool" venue and an "Elementary" venue for the same lesson.
- Sections -- The segments within a venue, such as "Welcome", "Video", "Bible Story", and "Activity". Sections control the flow of the class Ora.
- Ruoli and Actions -- Within each section, you assign Ruoli (for example, "Lead Teacher" or "Small Gruppo Leader") and give each Ruolo specific actions.
Action Types
There are four types of actions you can assign Per a Ruolo within a section:
- Say -- Text the Volontario should speak or paraphrase Per the class.
- Do -- A physical activity or instruction Per carry out.
- Note -- Background information or a reminder for the Volontario (not read aloud).
- Play -- A video or audio clip Per play during the section.
Adding a Venue
- Apri the lesson in the admin Visualizza.
- Fai clic Aggiungi Venue.
- Inserisci a name for the venue (e.g., "Preschool" or "Elementary").
- Salva. You can now Aggiungi sections Per this venue.
Adding Sections and Actions
- Expand a venue Per see its sections.
- Fai clic Aggiungi Section and give it a name (e.g., "Welcome").
- Within the section, Fai clic Aggiungi Action.
- Scegli the Ruolo, action Digita (Say, Do, Note, or Play), and Inserisci the content.
- Salva.
Repeat this process Per build out the full lesson flow.
Uploading Lezione-Level Resources
You can attach downloadable materials directly Per a lesson -- for example, an activity sheet or coloring page specific Per that week.
- Apri the lesson in the admin Visualizza.
- Navigate Per the Resources section.
- Carica your files.
Build your lesson from the Volontario's perspective. Step through the sections and actions in order and ask yourself whether a first-Ora Volontario could follow along without any other preparation.
