Requesting Events & Rooms

If your church tracks bookable rooms and resources, you can request an event — with the rooms and equipment it needs — right from the member portal. Conflicts with existing bookings are flagged as you pick, your request goes to the church for approval, and you can track or cancel it from My Requests.

Before You Begin

  • You must be logged in to the member portal
  • Your church must have rooms or resources set up in B1 Admin — the request shortcuts only appear when it does

Submitting a Request

  1. Open the Me page in the member portal and tap Request an Event under Shortcuts.
  2. Fill in the event basics: Event title, an optional Description, the Start and End times (or All day), and whether it Repeats.
  3. Pick the Rooms and Resources you need. For resources you can set a Qty.
  4. Watch for conflict warnings — if your time overlaps an existing booking for a room or resource, you'll see "This time conflicts with an existing booking." You can adjust your time or choose something else.
  5. Tap Submit Request.

After submitting, a Request submitted summary shows the status of each room and resource you asked for:

  • Approved -- Booked immediately (the room or resource has no approval group).
  • Pending approval -- Someone from the church needs to sign off first.

Tracking Your Requests

Open My Requests from the Me page. Each request shows the event, when you requested it, and a status pill:

  • Pending -- Awaiting a decision
  • Approved -- Your booking is confirmed
  • Rejected -- The request was declined

While a request is still pending, you can withdraw it with Cancel request (you'll be asked to confirm — cancellation cannot be undone).
